Horse 015
Horse's head d'apres Leonardo Da Vinci. I used the visual language of anatomical studies to produce something that is expressive of a dimension of horses. During this series, I discovered that my unconscious preconception that I could somehow fathom the horse was erroneous: all horses are slightly different and they move, making their true likeness unfathomable. This drawing embraces the impossibility of depicting a horse as it is and paradoxically shows how it isn't to get closer to the truth.
